The Red Velvet Cake recipe

Ingredients: sugar, shortening, eggs, red food colouring, cocoa, buttermilk, salt, vanilla extract, flour, vinegar, baking soda.

Icing: milk, flour, sugar, butter, vanilla extract.

Preheat oven to 350°F, grease two 9-inch pans.

Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs, mix red colour-cocoa paste, alternate with buttermilk and flour.

Bake 30 mins, cool, and make icing by heating milk-flour, beating with sugar, butter, and vanilla.
